SuperMall
Today, while browsing through old photos of Athens with Marina,
I found this set from October 2003.
I found this set from October 2003.
It's a semi-abandoned mall somewhere in Athens, and some magazine art director thought it was the place where they would take my portrait
for some magazine or other.
I can definetly see the superstudio on acid mirror connection.
The Piranesian 80's complexityThe Dodecahedrons
The inexplicable machine, or maybe not. the intricate diagonal marblework I would never dare.the abandoned model in the basement of the abandoned building.

Paparazzi Nation
Yes it has nothing to do with architecture really, but why has it become more interesting to watch Britney go into a gas station restroom, that anything else really. It great of course, it totally cancels out pathetic things like red carpet oscar say hi and smile like you care television, and maybe everything else. Watching a video of the door behind which Britney is talking to the phone to somebody has maybe become the ultimate in Now Nothingness.
My personal favorite is a video of Lindsey Lohans' "car crash" where we almost see no Lindsey, no crash, not much car, but just empty streets, people talking on cellphones, people going in and out of houses and acting like everyday in paparazziland, and it's almost art
happy holidays

Friends of Kebyar
While researching the Terraform House and looking for (and not finding) stuff on Jacques Couëlle, I found Jacques Gillet and this group of people posing in front of his "Sculpture House".
The group is actually fellows of Friends of Kebyar, a journal on all things architecturally organic (and I might say inspired by Fredrik Kiesler but whatever)

I feel like I've seen this house by Robert Bruno before,
there's also an extensive website for all you
organic rusted steel metal plate fans out there
Gunther Domenig is here too, though I wouldn't have put him in the same category as everybody else FOK has dedicated an issue to. I do remember seeing a lecture by Domenig in the very early 90s at SciARC, and he showed his house that he has been building forever, a little like Robert Bruno.there's also an extensive website for all you

Terraform House 2+3
Haven't been posting much about Second Life, because I havent been there much. Someone told me that Second Life is now over, and its all about facebook, but you cant build buildings on facebook so what good is that? Anyway I recently went to my First land and tried to re-enact the Terraform House. I bought some nice foldable furniture and started pretending to have diner, and there's propably nothing more boring or pathetic than pretenting to eat diner by yourself in internet suburbia. So I scrammed, and went my other land on Merope island, and re-remade terraform house as a mountain version. At some point some spooky lights appeared, but I'm afraid its a christmas thing. Anyway, at least there's a view

Cleaning up the blog folder
All this stuff has been hanging around looking for a post for so long, it has become like "random information concentration camp"
I have no idea what this is or for what I was looking for when I found this
Here I was looking for images from crazy sexy cool Jacques Couëlle
but I never found enough
on this organic south Mediterranean folly
this is one of the "walls" from the Open Space Technology thing in Istanbul and Sylvia looking coy hiding in her tuxedo
and Hazell Dean, always Searchin'
