Finally I got to see an original Capitello at the Met(armchair by Studio 65, verging on obsession)
then a bit later on we saw two at the Cooper-Hewitt,and Angelo was tired from all the museum going.
(alas they were plastic vacuum-form reproductions)
and then everywhere I looked I could see Capitellos,
and loft Parthenons
and Classisism
just about everywhere
even in a shop window in Chelsea
