Recently, I can't help noticing

all the blank billboards on my morning walk

maybe they ran out of things to advertise?

maybe we just consumed too many ads and we dont see them anymore?

maybe the whole country is bust

and not even the creepy cheap advertisement companies want to sell us anything

because they know we are junk customers

naturally, the only ad that is never missing is for the ubiquitous online crap-sino

the next day I find myself in front of this sign, 

and what do you know, 

it looks just like a fucking tombstone:

A Pastoral Capriccio: Evening

This is "A Pastoral Capriccio with the Arch of Kostantine and the Colloseum: Evening" 1651, Claude Gellée le Lorrain.

I got it , amongst other gems in a book on the Treasure Houses of Britain
(which might just prove to be a treasure trove for this blog, since there's just so much in there)

A grand orange garden, 

a city with an interesting Mountain Grotto and what looks like a slightly military scene

an Ominous looking evening shore, where you can almost hear Liz Fraser singing a song to the Siren

when you know it will end in tears

Sunday at home

Today is Sunday, we're spending the day at home 

reading books  

 (SANAA's great MUSAC catalog, from the "Sanaa Houses" exhibition curated by Mr Agustin Perez Rubio) 

 tending the plants 

 and maybe introducing some new

amongst many other names

sometimes clubs last less than a season

they are the fastest ruins around

almost as fast as countries going bankrupt

I went looking for a Black Barn and I found the 20th century

So, I was looking around for images of Stanley Tigerman's Black Barn

which is curious, black, and has triangular windows, I saw it in a Taschen book.

Its funny that Taschen knows about this and Google doesn't.

Anyway , I ended up at another interesting Tigerman project over at RNDRD,

and a Hollein-esque collage

This is the Is residence by M. Rokkaku & Partners

I don't really know what to think about this really strange house, 

equipped with a sort of brain-like thinking unit in the center

the only thing I can think of is that I cant think anything about it

perhaps it's the endless collection of clocks

that seems to stop time from thinking

Reflections on a Goldin Eye

Recently I went back to see 

the great Nan Goldin show at Rebecca Camhi

I got lost in the hazy reflections of the atmospheric photos

 the pictures made strange sense with the space

they seemed to talk to each other

I saw myself in a few

in the gallery office, a George Lappas sculpture (right)

together with one of my Golden Wrapped chairs
